Let’s know about Tulip yojana 2020 or Tulip program by govt of India. On 4 JUNE 2020, Ministry of Human Resource Development along with MoHUA and AICTE had announced Tulip initiative that will probably change the scenario of classic education system in India. After successful implementation of the same, students will want to work for government. And can actually contribute something towards their society without diving into civil services. Infact they have already launched tulip portal for executing this initiative. We will also talk about, “how to start with tulip registration?”

Want to know that, Keep Reading….

The Urban learning internship program or Tulip program by govt of India is an initiative to provide internships and training right after graduation till a period upto 1 year. A web based portal called tulip portal has also been launched today by AICTE which will act as repository to all students participating in that program.

Giving details of the programme, Minister of State, Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep. S. Puri said: “It is expected that 25,000 fresh graduates will get the opportunity of internship in the starting year itself.” Mr Puri further added: “This will not only help the interns get hands on experience in the vast activities of urban local bodies but will also help to create a resource upon which the industry can draw easily for hiring.”

Those students who have completed their graduation in any of B Tech, B Arch, B Plan, BA, B Com, LLB, B Sc, etc. will be eligible for internship opportunities within 18 months of their graduation for a period upto 1 year.

The students participating in that will be working for 100 smart cities. And urban local bodies under ministry of housing and urban development. According to the TULIP portal, there are a total of 295,200 internships under 23,970 companies. HRD minister Mr. Pokhriyal added that within few years we will reach out to 1 crore students.

Discovery arises from problems and complexities. It would be a great idea to merge creative and dynamic thinking of young minds to solve that problem. Globally, local governments engage with academic institutions by providing students and fresh graduates internship opportunities to assist in research and fieldwork. Thus creating the lab-to-land transfer of innovative solutions. This is mutually beneficial to students in gaining exposure to the functioning of cities and also to local governments as new solutions evolve for the city and a pool of talent gets created for absorption in the market.

TULIP has been visualized to deliver the above by equipping the youth with problem-solving and critical thinking skills through hands-on, experiential learning in India’s fast-growing urban ecosystem. Learning through active experiments and training would surely rise the growth of our country exponentially.
